Nelson Dilipkumar is a talented director who has made some impressive films in the past. He tries to present a new avatar of Rajinikanth in Jailer and he succeeds to some extent. He blends action, comedy, drama, and sentiment in the film and creates some engaging moments. He also pays tribute to Rajinikanth’s previous films and pleases the fans. However, he also falters in some aspects of the direction.
