The TVS Motor Company has unveiled its latest gem in the premium motorcycle segment: the TVS Apache RTR 310. While sharing the platform with the Apache RR310, this model boasts a raw streetfighter design and an array of fresh features. Priced at Rs 2.43 lakh (ex-showroom), the Apache RTR 310 offers a more affordable alternative to its sportbike counterpart. Here’s a deep dive into the highlights of the new TVS Apache RTR 310.

At its heart, the Apache RTR 310 is driven by a 312cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, churning out 35.6hp and 28.7Nm of torque – a tad more than the RR310. This robust engine pairs with a six-speed gearbox equipped with an assist-and-slipper clutch and a bi-directional quick-shifter. Furthermore, riders can choose from five riding modes: Sport, Track, SuperMoto, Urban, and Rain. Each mode tailors the power delivery, throttle response, and ABS intervention to match the terrain.

The Apache RTR 310 flaunts a forward-leaning stance, complemented by an elegantly upswept tail – embodying the essence of a streetfighter. Its DRLs, headlamp, and tail lamp are meticulously crafted, echoing a fierce cyborg aesthetic. Additionally, its lightweight aluminium subframe gives an exoskeletal appeal, enhancing agility. Enthusiasts can pick from two captivating shades: Arsenal Black and Fury Yellow.

Suspension and Brakes

Ensuring a smooth ride, the Apache RTR 310 comes with an upside-down fork up front and a mono-shock at the rear, both courtesy of KYB. While the standard bike offers rear preload adjustability, riders can opt for a fully adjustable suspension via TVS's Built To Order (BTO) customisation programme. The bike gracefully glides on 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in dual compound radial tyres from Michelin. Braking is sharp, thanks to a 300mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, fortified with dual-channel ABS.
