Mahindra BE 6e & XEV 9e: Prices & Features

Mahindra Automotive is gearing up to revolutionize the electric vehicle market with the introduction of its next-generation electric SUVs. Showcased globally at the "Mahindra Unlimit Event" in Chennai, these models promise to make a significant splash in the EV segment.

The INGLO Platform, Launch Timeline and Deliveries

At the heart of these electric SUVs lies the INGLO platform, a name that fuses Mahindra's Indian roots (IN) with its global aspirations (GLO). This homegrown architecture is engineered to meet the demanding driving conditions of India while adhering to international standards. It offers intelligent packaging and a host of features designed to deliver exceptional safety, performance, range, and efficiency.

The Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e are slated to debut in the Indian market in January next year, with deliveries commencing by February 2025.

Designing from a Blank Canvas and Pricing Strategy

Pratap Bose, Mahindra's Design Head, emphasized the unique opportunity in crafting these SUVs. "For the first time in my career, I had a blank sheet to work on," he noted. Attention to detail was paramount, covering everything from functional areas to digital design processes, materials, and colors.

Mahindra aims to cater to both mass-market and premium consumers with these electric offerings. The XEV brand targets a more upscale audience compared to the BE lineup. The XEV 9e, being the flagship and most luxurious model, comes with an introductory price of ₹21.90 lakh for the Pack 1 variant. The BE 6e starts at ₹18.90 lakh for the same variant, with prices for other variants to be announced later. Globally, the XEV 9e will range from ₹50 lakh to ₹70 lakh.
